Daniel Cormier Was Disgusted by Josh Hokit’s Comment About Michelle Obama, Finds His Gimmick ‘Lame As Fuck’

Josh Hokit scored another victory at UFC Freedom 250, knocking out Derrick Lewis in the second round.

After the fight, Hokit delivered one of his pro wrestling-esque promos where he called Michelle Obama a man.

In a new video on YouTube, Daniel Cormier called out Hokit for his comments.

“Josh Hokit made a comment in the Octagon that was completely uncalled for. Josh has been in my gym and he was in the fighter meetings last weekend and he wasn’t doing the whole character thing. When he’s not doing that, he’s just a normal dude. He’s a good fighter and a great athlete. The comments that he made, made no sense. It was irresponsible, nasty, horrible, and unnecessary.

“He started his interview and was going to do one of those gimmicky things that honestly, I think it’s lame as fuck. Then he stopped himself and did an interview. He was good and he could’ve left and made more fans than he walked in there with. Instead, he goes and says the thing about Michelle Obama, who is as classy a person as you will ever meet, who has only represented herself, her family, and this country with grace and class. She’s a person who is hard to take shots at. It was an unnecessary shot at her in a setting that didn’t need any of that stuff. So many people in our country are trying to divide. That’s a statement that divides. We should be coming together. I absolutely hated that. He needs to do better.

“Get it together, dude. You don’t need to be as outlandish as you are.”

Dana White also took offense to Hokit’s comment, saying he hated it.

UFC Freedom 250 was not the first time Josh Hokit called Michelle, or another woman, “a man.” He previously called Brittney Griner a man after winning at UFC 324.
