Dustin Poirier Arrested For Allegedly Being Drunk In Public, Bodycam Footage Released

Dustin Poirier was arrested on Sunday, June 21 after an incident in the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

He was booked and charged with public drunkenness. He was released several hours after being booked.

Bodycam footage shows Poirier trying to fight an officer. Airport officials tried to calm Poirier down, which eventually worked.

Public drunkenness is a misdemeanor, and Poirier could face one year in jail if convicted.

Poirier has not commented on the incident, but did post on his Instagram on Monday, “Love you all. I’m working on myself.”

Poirier retired in 2015, making the decision to retire before facing Max Holloway. He lost the fight by unanimous decision.
