Rizin will begin an eight man lightweight grand prix at Rizin 19 and the field has been revealed for the upcoming tournament.
Participants (which the promotion revealed via Twitter) in the grand prix include Bellator MMA fighter Patricky Pitbull, UFC veteran Johnny Case, Luis Gustavo, UFC veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri, Tofiq Musaev, Roberto De Souza, UFC veteran Damien Brown and Hiroto Uesako.
A super fight will also be taking place on the card as light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka is in action against UFC veteran Fabio Maldonado. Another UFC veteran in Keita Nakamura makes his promotional debut at the event, facing Marcos De Souza in a welterweight division attraction. Also, a women’s atomweight division clash will happen at Rizin 19 as well as UFC veteran Seo Hee Ham faces Miyuu Yamamoto.
Other bouts are expected to be announced for the card at a future date.
Rizin 19 takes place on Saturday, October 12 from the Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Fite TV.
