There were a lot of promotions that were interested in signing Mix, but the fighter says Bellator MMA was the best option.

Unranked UFC Fighters to Watch out for in 2024

“It happened fast man…after my last fight, I won in the first round again. I extended my streak to…I’m not sure, but I finished five guys in a row. I got to 10-0 and Ali’s (Abdelaziz) been telling me he’ll get me to the next level, he offered me a few options and Bellator was the clear cut option for me to take right now,” says Mix in an exclusive interview with Fightful’s James Lynch.

Mix sits at 10-0-0 as a professional MMA fighter and one of those wins came over UFC veteran Andre Ewell.

The debuting Mix doesn’t just plan on beating Bandejas at Bellator 222, but he plans on taking the fighters spot in the rankings.

“I believe that…you know, I’m coming out there to win and I’m coming out there to finish him. He’s been finished and I finish better than all the guys…I feel I finish better than all the guys that have finished him, I’m coming there to finish him. I’m coming there to put him away and he’s ranked number three and after this fight, I plan to be in that ranking and I plan to get the big fights. By no means necessary is Ricky an easy fight, he’s not easy to be finished…but if one persons gonna do it, it’s gonna be me,” says Mix.

Bellator 222 takes place on Friday, June 14 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Chael Sonnen and Lyoto Machida headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
