A heavyweight division affair is going to be headlining next months UFC Fight Night London card as #3 Fabricio Werdum faces #7 Alexander Volkov.
Werdum (23-7-1) enters the fight on the strength of a two bout winning streak, defeating the duo of Walt Harris and Marcin Tybura. Werdum is also a former UFC Heavyweight Champion, defeating Cain Velasquez at UFC 188 to win the strap. Werdum is going to be headlining his second straight UFC event and the Brazilian has a record of 5-1-0 in UFC main event encounters.
Volkov (29-6-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, with his last bout being a TKO victory over Stefan Struve in the main event of UFC Fight Night Rotterdam. Volkov is a former Bellator MMA Heavyweight Champion, defeating Rich Hale to win the belt at Bellator 84. Volkov hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years, with that last loss coming to UFC veteran Cheick Kongo at Bellator 139.
