The CES MMA Featherweight Championship is going to be defended in the main event of CES MMA 56 as Bruce Boyington is defending the gold against Dan Dubuque.

Boyington (16-11-0) is defending the championship for the first time, defeating UFC veteran Sean Soriano for the gold at CES MMA 51. Boyington enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year. Boyington has suffered eleven losses as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them have come by way of submission.

Dubuque (5-2-0) is undefeated under the CES MMA banner, defeating Max Barrett by split decision at CES MMA 39. Dubuque is returning to action for the first time in over a year, as he last competed at Cage Titans 37 in January of 2018. Dubuque has competed a total of seven times as a professional MMA fighter and six of those bouts went to the judges scorecards.

CES MMA 56 takes place on Friday, May 31 from the Connecticut Convention Center in Hartford, Connecticut with Bruce Boyington and Dan Dubuque headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
