Petr Yan claimed the UFC Bantamweight Title at UFC 251, stopping Jose Aldo in the fifth round with a powerful performance. Aldo and Yan stood toe-to-toe for 15-minutes, but as Aldo began to slow in round four, Yan grew stronger. After nearly finishing Aldo at the end of the fourth round, Yan battered and bloodied Aldo en route to a stoppage in the fifth round.
While many praised Yan's performance, more than a handful of fighters were upset over the unnecessary punishment Aldo took in the fifth round.
