Floyd Mayweather Says Conor McGregor Can Train At His Gym, McGregor Says "F*ck The Mayweathers"

Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor battled in the boxing ring last August in what was dubbed “The Money Fight,” a bout that was won by Mayweather.

McGregor is now training for a shot at UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229 and Mayweather has opened his gym for McGregor to train at.

“I know that UFC has a training facility, but we’d like him to work at the Mayweather boxing club,” Mayweather told TMZ Sports.

The Irishman primarily trains with SBG Ireland, with John Kavanagh serving as his head coach for the majority of his professional MMA fights.

Mayweather admits that Nurmagomedov is an excellent grappler, but Mayweather thinks the fans would like to see the lightweight champion use a striking game instead.

“From what I know, (Nurmagomedov is) a hell of a grappler, and he can wrestle,” said Mayweather. “But you know, the fans want to see you stand up and fight. That’s what they want to see. But Conor McGregor’s a tough competitor. Conor McGregor’s not going to back down from anyone. He’s not scared. He’s a warrior.”
