Floyd Sr. Says Mayweather vs. McGregor II Is Happening

Former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather collided in the boxing ring in August 2017 in what was dubbed “The Money Fight,” with Mayweather winning via tenth round TKO.

Floyd Mayweather Sr. believes a rematch between the two is in the works, despite the fact that his son is retired.

”It’s sounding like him and Conor McGregor are going to fight,” Mayweather Sr. Said to Helen Yee. “That’s what it sounds like. I don’t know for sure, but I’m just saying the way things are sounding to me. It sounds like [Floyd’s] going to fight again, and Conor McGregor, he wants to fight again. Even though he don’t want to fight again, but he’ll fight again just to show his people what he can do - which is nothing.”

The younger Mayweather retired after defeated McGregor in the ring, but had been teasing an MMA bout against the Irishman for some time afterwards.

If the two do collide again, a confident Mayweather Sr. says McGregor will leave the arena on a stretcher.

”This time here, I’m gonna make sure that he gets stretched out,” Floyd Sr. said. “All the way out of the game. I want to make sure he don’t come back no more.”

McGregor must first focus on UFC 229, where he is challenging UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov for the gold.
