The One Championship Bantamweight title is going to be on the line at One Championship: A New Era as Kevin Belingon puts the gold up against Bibiano Fernandes.
Belingon (20-5-0) is making the first defense of the championship, which he won by defeating Fernandes in their second encounter at One Championship: Heart Of A Lion. Belingon is a former One Championship Interim Bantamweight Champion, defeating Martin Nguyen to win the gold at One Championship: Reign Of Kings. Belingon will enter the contest on the strength of a seven fight winning streak and he hasn?t suffered a defeat in over three years.
Fernandes (22-4-0) won the first encounter between Belingon and himself, with that victory coming by first round submission at One Championship: Dynasty Of Champions 5. Fernandes holds the record for the longest title reign in One Championship history, having held the bantamweight title for five-plus years. Fernandes has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter, with two of them coming to a pair of UFC veterans in Urijah Faber and Kid Yamamoto.
