Ngnannou and Lewis fought to a much-maligned unanimous decision back at UFC 226 on July 7, 2018. Ngannou claimed to have shattered confidence coming off his first career loss to Stipe Miocic and both men appeared to be relatively gun shy.
Ngannou (16-3) is coming off a second-round knockout win over Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 to capture the heavyweight crown. He rides a five-fight winning streak which includes wins over Cain Velasquez and Curtis Blaydes.
Lewis (25-7-0-1) rides a four-fight winning streak highlighted by finishes of Curtis Blaydes and Aleksei Olenik.
