Frankie Edgar Open To Fighting Conor McGregor

Former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar has recently announced that he is dropping from featherweight to bantamweight.

Conor McGregor recently named Edgar as one of the opponents he’d like to battle upon an Octagon return and Edgar is open to that challenge.

Edgar revealed though Instagram that he is willing to delay a move to bantamweight in order to fight McGregor:

 

McGregor did reveal that he would like to return to action by the end of the year, but a specific date and/or opponent wasn’t mentioned. Edgar was last seen in action in the main event of UFC 240, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway.

There is also no word yet on which weight class the potential bout could happen at, as Edgar has fought at featherweight and lightweight, while McGregor has competed at featherweight, lightweight and welterweight.
