Georgi Karakhanyan/Emmanuel Sanchez Added To Bellator 170

A featherweight division attraction is the latest addition to Bellator 170 as Georgi Karakhanyan will be in action against Emmanuel Sanchez.

Karakhanyan (26-6-1) has won three of five fights in his second run with Bellator MMA with a pair of notable wins coming over Bubba Jenkins. Karakhanyan also competed against Rick Glenn to be crowned the first ever World Series Of Fighting Featherweight Champion, Glenn would win the fight by second round TKO. Karakhanyan is also a former Gladiator Challenge Featherweight Champion, he defeated Micah Miller to win the belt in 2012.

Sanchez (13-3-0) has won three of his last four under the Bellator MMA banner, with notable wins coming over a pair of UFC veterans in Justin Lawrence and Daniel Pineda. Sanchez has also competed against former Bellator MMA Featherweight Champion Pat Curran, who defeated him by unanimous decision at Bellator 139. Sanchez has seen his last six fights all end via decision, his record in those six fights is 4-2-0, his last non-decision fight came at Bellator 128 in October 2014.

Bellator 170 takes place on Saturday, January 21 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Tito Ortiz and Chael Sonnen headlining, the main card will be airing live on Spike TV.
