George St-Pierre is teasing an announcement.
St-Pierre appeared at a press event in promotion of Montreal hosting the World Championship of Gymnastics, and spoke about the status of his UFC career. The former welterweight champion, who implements gymnastics into his training, said he hopes to have news soon.
"There are a lot of things going on right now. I can't say too much, but I promise you that you will probably have news next week. There are many things brewing, little delicate things we can't talk about now," said GSP.
St-Pierre and the UFC have reached an impasse in negotiations in relation to GSP's contract. The UFC wants St-Pierre to operate on his old contract, but it was signed ahead of the Reebok sponsorship agreement. St-Pierre wants to bring in his own sponsors if he's on that deal, or else is reportedly asking for a $10 million price tag.
GSP told TMZ last month he wanted to be a part of UFC 206 in Toronto.
