Henry Cejudo Retires From MMA

Henry Cejudo is calling it a career.

Following his loss at UFC 323 to Payton Talbott, Cejudo announced his retirement. Cejudo lost the bout by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27). After the fight, Cejudo told Dana White, “It’s time. That just showed it.”

Dana said that Cejudo fought with a lot of heart.

Cejudo retires as a former UFC bantamweight and flyweight champion. He is one of four fighters to hold two titles simultaneously. He is also an Olympic gold medalist in freestyle wrestling.

He finishes his MMA career with a 16-6 record. He lost his last four fights, all by decision.

Cejudo has wins over Demetrious Johnson, TJ Dillashaw, Marlon Moraes, and Dominick Cruz. He originally retired in May 2020, but came out of retirement in 2023.
