Henry Cejudo Wants Dominick Cruz To Be The Backup At UFC 250

Henry Cejudo is scheduled to defend the UFC Bantamweight Title against former UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo in the main event of UFC 250.

The country of Brazil is currently prohibiting people to travel there due to a coronavirus lockdown. Cejudo, just in case UFC 250 doesn’t go down in Brazil and Aldo cannot make it stateside, wants former UFC Bantamweight Champion Dominick Cruz to be the backup for the event.

Cejudo made the request through Twitter:

There has been no response yet from Cruz and the UFC as to the request made by Cejudo, while no official backup for the UFC 250 has been named either at this time.

UFC 250 takes place on Saturday, May 9 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
