The UFC Bantamweight Title is going to be defended in the main event of UFC 250 as Henry Cejudo puts the gold on the line against #8 Jose Aldo.

Raphael Marinho of Combate first reported the main event attraction.

Cejudo (15-2-0) is making the first defense of his championship, which Cejudo won by defeating Marlon Moraes at UFC 238. Cejudo is also a former UFC Flyweight Champion, defeating Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227 to claim that title. Cejudo comes into the contest on the strength of a five fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over three years.

Aldo (28-6-0) has gone winless since dropping to the UFC Bantamweight Division, losing to the aforementioned Moraes by split decision at UFC 245. Aldo was the first ever UFC Featherweight Champion and he defended the gold seven times before losing it to Conor McGregor at UFC 194. Aldo hasn’t won a bout in nearly a year, as his last win came at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza in February of 2019.

UFC 250 takes place on Saturday, May 9 from the Ibirapueroa Gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Henry Cejudo and Jose Aldo headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
