Israel Adesanya Hits Oba Femi Strut, Loses To Joe Pyfer

Israel Adesanya entered the Octagon with the Oba Femi strut, but walked out a defeated man.

Adesanya was stopped in the second round by Joe Pyfer in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Seattle. Pyfer got Adesanya’s back on the ground, flattened him out, and then punched away until the referee was forced to stop the fight.

This was Adesanya’s first fight since February 2025, when he lost to Nassourdine Imavov by TKO. He has now lost four straight fights.

In the lead up to the fight against Pyfer, Israel Adesanya said about Oba, “I’d say right now, Oba Femi. I really like the way he just moves. I like the way he’s carrying the WWE right now. He’s the guy. He’s just like, he’s got that swagger. So shout out to Oba Femi. It’s not Oba, it’s Oba Femi. That’s the guy right now.”
