Former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington recently spoke out against former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and BMF Champion Jorge Masvidal, even insinuating that the duo are involved in a “fling.”
One half of that pair in Jedrzejczyk is speaking out against Covington, calling the former champion “not a very polite or smart guy.”
“It’s part of his act,” Jedrzejczyk said on the Eurobash podcast (via Peter Carroll of MMA Fighting). “He’s not a very polite or a smart guy, so he doesn’t know what to do. He needs other people to make himself big, so I don’t want to talk about this guy, you know. I can tell you guys that it’s a shame for us... it’s a shame that he’s talking crap like this. It’s all ugly things. He’s a dirty guy and I don’t want to talk about, I just don’t want to talk about it.”
Masvidal has yet to respond to what Covington recently stated, as they have had a strained relationship for quite awhile now.
Covington said a lot about Jedrzejczyk during his latest rant, but Jedrzejczyk says everything Covington spoke about was a lie.
“He’s lying, you know. I don’t know why he’s such a big liar and I just don’t want to talk about. I don’t want to waste my time talking about him,” says Jedrzejczyk.
ATT owner Dan Lambert recently enacted a no trash talking policy for members of the team, but Covington doesn’t seem like he’s following said policy at the moment.
