Jon Jones Blasts UFC 205 Division In Twitter Rant

MMA

Jon Jones is still suspended from mixed martial arts but that did not keep him from swinging at his fellow UFC light heavyweights in a rant via social media.

Jones, currently the interim champion in the UFC's 205-pound weight class, posted a series of tweets on Wednesday night that began speaking in general terms about the division, then focused on Daniel Cormier and Anthony Johnson. Cormier, a longtime rival of Jones, succeeded Jones as champion last year after "Bones" Jones was stripped of the title by the UFC following his involvement in a hit-and-run incident.

Jones tweeted as follows:

Jones then got specific about Cormier and Johnson, who are set to fight in the main event of UFC 206 on Dec. 10 for Cormier's title.

Jones is set to appear before the Nevada State Athletic Commission in November to attempt to get his suspension reduced. He was suspended after getting pulled from a scheduled fight against Cormier at UFC 200 after failing a drug test.
