Jon Jones will not face jail time in relation to his 'drag racing' earlier this year.
The currently suspended interim UFC light heavyweight Champion agreed to a deal with prosecutors that saw him receive a 90-day suspended sentence. The charges in question were drag racing, exhibition driving, weaving, modifying his exhaust pipe and failing to properly display his license.
The incident was caught on a police officer's body camera and went viral, as Jones denied the accusations and called the officer a 'pig.' Jones stated that he simply acknowledged fans at a red light by revving his engines.
Jones will have to complete an aggressive driving course and perform sixty hours of community service, in addition to a $143 fine. When the incident went down in March of this year, Jones was already serving probation for a hit-and-run incident in 2015. Jones has already completed 51 hours of the assigned community service in relation to his probation.
Jones is suspended and awaiting a hearing in relation to a failed United States Anti Doping Agency test ahead of UFC 200 that forced him to be pulled from his main event slot against Daniel Cormier.
