Jorge Masvidal Moving On From Conor McGregor To Kamaru Usman

Jorge Masvidal hasn’t competed since defeated Nate Diaz by third round TKO in the main event of UFC 244.

While former two division UFC champion Conor McGregor has been in Masvidal’s sights for quite awhile now, it appears that Masvidal is now shifting his focus to UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman.

“He don’t want the fight so I don’t give a f*ck no more,” Masvidal said on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show (via Jed Meshew of MMA Fighting). “I’m moving on from that fight. This dude didn’t want the fight. I’m not here to bully. I guess it’s Usman’s head. He sealed Usman’s fate now.”

Usman hasn’t competed since defeating former UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington by first round TKO at UFC 245.

Masvidal would still like to face McGregor, but the list of his potential opponents is down to just two.

“That’d be good too, if Conor wanted to do that,” Masvidal said. “One of these two guys is gonna have to scrap with me. I’m leaning right now towards Usman, the way he’s been talking, the sh*t he’s been saying, but if Conor wants it, we’ll get it done. It won’t be hard to get it done but I’m not going to sit here and entertain bullsh*t and stuff, you know? I just want to scrap.”

The UFC Welterweight Champion recently stated that Masvidal was trying to avoid him, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.
