Justin Gaethje Says He Will Be Headlining WSOF’s New York Debut

Despite the fact that current World Series Of Fighting Lightweight Champion Justin Gaethje will be defending his belt this Friday Night against Ozzy Dugulobgov, Gaethje is already making plans for his next title defense.

In an interview with MMA Junkie, Gaethje stated that he'll be headlining the promotion's debut in New York this December.

“They got this big show at the end of the year on Dec. 31, I will be headlining that card no matter what,” said Gaethje.

Gaethje also talks about the many different paths he can take to headline the New York card, which is taking place at Madison Square Garden In New York.

“If I lose this fight, I’ll be in a rematch with Ozzy,” Gaethje said. “If I win this fight and Jason High wins, I’ll be fighting him because that’s who I’ll be calling out. And if Jason loses, I’ll fight Luiz Firmino.”

Gaethje closed out the interview by making a case why the WSOF Lightweight Championship should headline WSOF's first NYC show.

“I’m the best in the world right now in my weight class. I’m headlining that card either way,” said Gaethje.

World Series Of Fighting 36 will take place on December 31st from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York. Gaethje will be competing this Friday Night at the World Series Of Fighting 33.
