Kamaru Usman Feels Leon Edwards Is Overconfident Ahead Of UFC 286 Trilogy: "You Forgot That I Was Taking Your Soul"

Former UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman is planning on breaking current champ, Leon Edwards, in their trilogy bout tomorrow night at UFC 286 in London, England.

Usman spoke with Former NFL players Fred Taylor, Channing Crowder, and Ryan Clark on their show The Pivot Podcast. He explained why he believes Edwards has forgotten about the amount of time the 35-year-old Auchi, Nigeria native was dominating him in their rematch last August at UFC 278 before the Brit landed a walk-off head kick KO with 56 seconds remaining in the fifth round.

“It’s going to be a little more difficult this time,” Usman said (h/t Bloody Elbow). “In his head, he forgot what happened four rounds before that. He’s like, ‘I landed the kick, I’m the champ! I’m good.’ But he forgot what happened. You forgot that I was taking your soul. So I have to remind him who he is: a guy that’s let somebody take your soul, twice. And I’m gonna take it in London.”
