Kamaru Usman Signs Bout Agreement To Fight Tyron Woodley

MMA

Kamaru Usman was last seen in the Octagon at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale, defeating former UFC Lightweight Champion Rafael Dos Anjos by unanimous decision.

The welterweight contender sits at #2 in the UFC Welterweight Division rankings, with the only fighter ahead of him being UFC Interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington.

However, it would appear that Usman may be next for UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley as the fighter signed a contract for a title bout.

Usman shared the contract and news via Twitter:

Woodley has yet to sign a bout agreement as of this writing and was last seen in action a few months back in the main event of UFC 228. Covington, who is ahead of Usman in the rankings, has been out out action since winning the interim strap at UFC 225.

There is no indication from Usman as to when and where the potential title bout may happen, as the fighter did not reveal that information in the Twitter posting.
