Khabib Nurmagomedov Favored To Defeat Tony Ferguson In UFC 249 Main Event

The UFC had to postpone three events due to the coronavirus, but the promotion is back in action on April 18 with UFC 249, which is going to be headlined by UFC Lightweight Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov defending the gold against former UFC Interim Lightweight Champion Tony Ferguson.

Sports Betting Dime has odds for the main event and all the bouts currently scheduled for the card, with Nurmagomedov being a -300 favorite while Ferguson is set as a +230 underdog. However, Khabib is stuck in Russia and may not even end up making it to the event.

Co-Main Event

In the co-main event of the evening, it is going to be a rematch of the UFC 237 main event as former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Jessica Andrade faces former UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Rose Namajunas. Andrade won the first encounter with a vicious slam knockout, but this time the odds favor Namajunas, who is a -185 favorite over the +160 underdog in Andrade.

Undercard

Islam Makhachev is the biggest favorite on the UFC 249 card, as he comes in as a -515 favorite over Alexander Hernandez, who comes in as a +375 underdog. The closest fight of the card, when it comes to betting odds is Karl Roberson versus Makhmud Muradov, as both come in as an even -115 for the bout.

It should be noted that the odds for all the fights scheduled for UFC 249 could fluctuate until the fighters actually step foot in the Octagon and the bout officially begins.

Another thing that could impact the odds is that UFC 249 will no longer be taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York due to the coronavirus and while UFC President Dana White says he knows where the event will take place, it hasn’t been revealed to the public at this time.
