Khabib Nurmagomedov is coming off of a dominant victory over Michael Johnson at UFC 205, but now the undefeated fighter wants a lightweight title shot or he is threatening to leave the UFC.
Nurmagomedov made the following post on his Twitter account:
I want to fight for @ufc title for respect but if I don't get my title shot next I have different plan I won't be fighting in UFC @danawhite

Nurmagomedov (24-0-0) has won a total of eight fights in the UFC, with the most notable wins coming over Michael Johnson, Rafael Dos Anjos, Pat Healy, Abel Trujillo, Thiago Tavares and Gleison Tibau. Nurmagomedov has been battling the injury bug as of late, having only competed three times in the last three years. Two of those fights have been in 2016.
The current UFC Lightweight Champion is Conor McGregor, who just defeated Eddie Alvarez by TKO at UFC 205. The win made McGregor a double champion in the UFC, where he is also the current UFC Featherweight Champion.
Nurmagomedov is currently ranked #2 in the UFC Lightweight Division, behind only Tony Ferguson.
