Khamzat Chimaev and Alexander Gustafsson shoot off big guns, and the UFC removes Donald Trump documentary from Fight Pass — this and much more on Saturday's social media roundup.

Khamzat Chimaev Shoots Off Very Large Guns with Alexander Gustafsson

The Most Popular Prop Bets Placed During MMA Matches

Rising middleweight prospect Khamzat Chimaev packs a lot of power in the cage, but he packed even more when he took to the firing range along with Alexander Gustafsson.

Chimaev burst onto the UFC scene in 2020 with three stoppage victories, including two just ten days apart in July. He had been expected to face Leon Edwards in the UFC's final card of 2020 until complications with the Coronavirus delayed that bout indefinitely.

Michael Chandler Joins Parler and Telegram

Former Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler joined the controversial social media services Parler, and Telegram just in time to make his UFC debut at UFC 257.

Parler has been in the news recently with their service having been pulled from the App Store over violent content, and their web services may be halted entirely by early next week.

UFC Removes Doland Trump Documentary From Fight Pass

The UFC continues to remove some of its more controversial content, as the documentary "Combatant In Chief: The Story of Donald Trump's History In Combat Sports" has been removed from Fight Pass.

The documentary details Trump's long history with the sport, going back as far as hosting UFC 28 and 31 at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City. This comes in the wake of the UFC also removing the propaganda video they posted in December attempting to dunk on the media, and likely is to prevent future backlash stemming from the storming of the Capitol earlier in the week.

Trash Talk Continues From Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling

After being previously canceled for December, the war of words has only heated up between bantamweight champion Petr Yan, and his upcoming challenger Aljamain Sterling.

Previously scheduled to headline UFC 256 in December, Yan was forced to pull out of that fight for visa and travel issues. The fight has been rescheduled to serve as the co-main event of the stacked UFC 259 card set for March.

Chael Sonnen Trolls Oregon Lawmaker, Teases Return To Politics

One of the greatest trash-talkers in MMA history has taken his aim at a Democratic congressman from Oregon and has dropped hints he may be looking at taking him on.

Rep. Schraeder, a representative for Oregon's 5th district, made news earlier in the day for his comments comparing the potential impeachment of Donald Trump to "lynching", but its unclear if that was the catalyst for Sonnen's rant.

Sonnen previously dipped his toe into electoral politics announcing his candidacy for Oregon's 37th district back in 2010, only to drop out of the race citing prior legal troubles.

Jorge Masvidal Threatens To Leave Twitter In Repsonse To Trump Being Banned

In the wake of Donald Trump being banned from the service, Jorge Masvidal has threatened that may drive him off the service soon as well.

Masvidal has made his political leanings very well known in recent months, appearing at Trump rallies, as well as speaking extensively about his family's experience in Cuba. Masvidal hasn't fought since losing his shot at the UFC welterweight title against Kamaru Usman in July.

Brandon Moreno Incredibly Respectfully Calls Out Deiveson Figueiredo

In the wake of their fight of the year in December, Brandon Moreno wants to make sure that Deiveson Figueiredo doesn't forget about him, as he's going hunting for bigger fights.

It seems unfathomable after an indecisive, and incredibly exciting draw in their first bout, the UFC wouldn't immediately book a rematch, but it is good to see Moreno making sure he isn't about to be overlooked.  Also, what a sweet-heart.

James Krause Calls Out Both Diego Sanchez And His Coach

The war of words between UFC veterans Diego Sanchez and James Krause continues to rage on as Krause has now claimed he wants to fight both Sanchez and his coach Joshua Fabia in the same night.

The beef began when Sanchez took exception to Krause's comments about his seemingly highly unqualified head coach.  Krause explained more in an appearance on the

“I basically said I thought his coach was a joke and apparently he took offense to that,” Krause explained (h/t MMA Fighting) “This was like six or eight months ago. Sh*t, I had forgotten all about it. It may have been even longer, but I just said I thought the dude was a master manipulator. I think he’s a joke. I don’t know him personally but I don’t think he knows anything about combat sports, period.

“He’s a dude that you see on the McDojo Instagram page doing like magical sh*t and people believe it,” Krause stated. “Unfortunately he’s got a hold of Diego who believes it, and I don’t know what that’s about. But Diego should know better, he’s always been a little odd anyway.”

Krause concluded with a very simple message for the TUF 1 winner.

“I was just giving my opinion and if you don’t like it, fight me,” Krause said. “I don’t know how else to say it. Apparently he wants to fight me but I haven’t heard a response since I posted that [from him] or his guy.”
