Khamzat Chimaev calls out Jorge Masvidal
Since Jorge Masvidal got knocked out by Kamaru Usman just days ago at UFC 261, many welterweights have already called their shot to fight the former street fighter next.
Some of the names who have been linked with being Masvidal's next opponent are fighters such as Leon Edwards, Nick Diaz and now another name has been added to the list and it is Khamzat Chimaev.
Chimaev took to Twitter yesterday to challenge Masvidal to a fight in August.
See Chimaev's tweet below.
Tell gamebred when he wake up from Saturday night I will fight him in August I’m not sure if he still sleeping --— Khamzat Chimaev (@KChimaev) April 27, 2021
In the tweet, Chimaev said, "tell gamebred when he wake up from Saturday night I will fight him in August I'm not sure if he still sleeping."
Chimaev, who prematurely announced his retirement from MMA just a few months ago has now confirmed that he will return to the Octagon this summer but no names of potential opponents for Chimaev have been mentioned yet.
Masvidal is yet to respond to the tweet but it will be very interesting to see what he says if or when he chooses to reply.
