Kron Gracie Has Waited All His Life For UFC Debut

Kron Gracie makes his UFC debut this weekend at UFC Fight Night Phoenix, facing Alex Caceres in a featherweight division attraction.

The member of the legendary Gracie Family has competed four times as a professional MMA fighter, but says his UFC debut is the opportunity that the competitor has waited a lifetime for.

“I’ve been waiting for this moment all my life.” Gracie said during a Facebook Q&A (via Bloody Elbow). “I like representing my entire family. I always expect the best result, but I’m ready for anything. I train to win, but I’m prepared to die, always.”

Gracie has big show fighting experience, having fought three times under the Rizin banner, which includes a victory over UFC veteran Tatsuya Kawajiri at Rizin 4. It has been quite some time since Kron has competed in any organization, as his last bout took place in December of 2016.

Caceres and Gracie were originally scheduled to collide at UFC 233, but that card was postponed and the fight was moved to UFC Fight Night Phoenix.

UFC Fight Night Phoenix takes place on Sunday, February 17 from the Talking Stick Resort Arena in Phoenix, Arizona with Francis Ngannou and Cain Velasquez headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
