Leon Edwards and Jorge Masvidal have seen their rivalry grow ever since their backstage brawl at UFC Fight Night London, but they have yet to actually settle the score inside of the Octagon.
Masvidal has reportedly accepted a second fight with Nate Diaz, with that bout potentially going down in January. That led to Edwards bashing Masvidal on Twit
Could have fought number 3, yet chose to fight number 12. Eventually this pussy will fight me, I’m all for money fights but watching two journey men go at it again when it wasn’t even competitive is a joke. And this is the "BMF" --— Leon 'Rocky' Edwards (@Leon_edwardsmma) September 1, 2020
Masvidal and Diaz met for the first time at UFC 244. On that night, Masvidal won the BMF Championship by third-round TKO due to a doctor stoppage.
Edwards has not been able to get to the United States due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which has stalled any potential bout against Masvidal from happening. Edwards has notcompeted since UFC Fight Night San Antonio in July of 2019, scoring a unanimous decision win over former UFC lightweight champion Rafael Dos Anjos.
