Leon Edwards Doesn't Think Kamaru Usman Is Focused On Fighting Ahead Of UFC 286 Trilogy: "I Feel Like He's On His Way Out"

UFC welterweight champion, Leon Edwards, see's another win over former champion, Kamaru Usman, as the potential opening for his rival to consider retirement.

Edwards spoke with reporters at Wednesday's media day for tomorrow night's UFC 286 event in London, England, ahead of his trilogy with Usman and explained why he belives the former 170-pound king already has his sights set on other ambitions outside of the Octagon.

“Our mentalities are in two different places,” Edwards said (h/t MMA Junkie). “I feel like he’s on his way out, and I was going to open the door for him – give him another path to follow his fashion dreams and follow wherever he wants to go. I think he’s already got one – something’s out the door and I was going to add to that. Whether he retires after or not, it’s up to him."
