Leonard Ellerbe Says Mayweather To Surpass $1 Billion In Earnings After Super Fight

Floyd Mayweather is preparing to battle UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor this August, a fight that could prove to be the boxers last.

Last fight or not, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions in Leonard Ellerbe says the legendary boxer could surpass $1 billion in earnings after facing McGregor.

“I think after this fight, he’ll be one of three athletes along with Michael Jordan and Tiger Woods to go over a billion dollars,” Ellerbe told MMA Junkie. “I don’t think he’s done too bad in his career.”

Mayweather recently stated during a media scrum that the bout with McGregor may be his last, siting how hard training camps have become.

Even though McGregor is making his professional boxing debut in this fight, the CEO says the fight is going to be a gigantic one in the end.

“This fight is gigantic,” Ellerbe said. “It’s massive. The fans across the world, this is exactly what they want to see and it’s what they’re going to get come Aug. 26.”

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
