LFA 16 Title Bout Canceled, Gets New Main Event

Andrea Lee is not going to be defending her Legacy Fighting Alliance Women’s Title at LFA 16 because her opponent in Davina Maciel has visa issues and is unable to get into the country.

LFA 16 is getting a new main event and it is taking place in the bantamweight division as UFC veteran Johnny Bedford faces Jimmy Flick.

Bedford (21-12-1-1NC) enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak, having defeated both Josh Robinson and Mike Hernandez. Bedford also won two of six fights during his UFC tenure, with those victories coming over Louis Gaudinot and Marcos Vinicius Borges Pancini. Bedford is also the current WarriorXtreme Cagefighting Bantamweight Champion, defeating the aforementioned Josh Robinson to win the gold.

Flick (8-3-0) is going to be making his LFA debut in this fight and he has only won just two of his last five fights. Flick is currently winless thus far against UFC veterans, having dropped a fight to Will Campuzano at Legacy Fighting Championships 16. Flick is also going to be competing for the first time this year, as his last bout came in December of 2016.

Legacy Fighting Alliance 16 takes place on Friday, July 14f rom The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas with Johnny Bedford and Jimmy Flick headlining. Fightful will provide quick results of the event when it’s complete, the event airs live on AXS TV.
