The vacant Legacy Fighting Alliance Light Heavyweight Title will get a new owner at LFA 82 as Alex Polizzi faces Jamal Pogues.
Polizzi (5-0-0) has competed once before under the LFA banner, having defeated Pierre Walters by first round TKO at LFA 70. Polizzi has competed a total of five times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those bouts went past the second round. Polizzi also went undefeated as an amateur MMA fighter and none of those bouts went past the second round.
Pogues (7-2-0) enters the contest on the strength of a three fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year. Pogues also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 9, defeating Marcos Brigagao by unanimous decision. Pogues also competed once in Bellator MMA, suffering a third round submission loss to Jordan Young at Bellator 201.
