A lightweight division attraction between Olivier Aubin-Mercier and Leonardo Santos has been pulled from this June’s UFC 212 card in Brazil.

Aubin-Mercier suffered an undisclosed injury and was pulled from the card. Santos could have remained on the card against a late replacement opponent, but opted to remove himself from the event as well.

The bout between the two was scheduled for the Fox Sports 1 portion of the preliminary card, there is no word yet on which fight will take its place on the card.

There is still going to be a total of twelve fights on the card, which airs on pay-per-view, Fox Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass respectively.

For the Canadian fighter in Aubin-Mercier, it would have been an opportunity to improve on a two fight winning streak. As for Santos, it would have been an opportunity for him to keep his undefeated streak in the UFC going, as his record currently stands at 5-0-1.

It has yet to be announced as to whether the fight is going to be rescheduled or if both fighters will simply get new opponents down the line.

UFC 212 takes place on Saturday, June 3 from the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil with Jose Aldo and Max Holloway headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
