UFC Vegas 14 will press forward with nine fights after the late-notice cancellation of Louis Smolka vs. Jose Alberto Quiñonez.
Smolka vs. Quiñonez was scrapped from Saturday's lineup, UFC officials told multiple publications. The event was intially scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT; however, the card has been pushed back by at least an hour. Details are scarce on the latest cancellation, but rumors point to an issue with Smolka after he missed weight on Friday.
UFC Vegas 14 was originally supposed to be headlined by Islam Makhachev vs. Rafael dos Anjos. Makhachev was pulled from the card and replaced by Paul Felder on five days notice. Julian Marquez vs. Saparbek Safarov was scrapped on Friday; meanwhile, Eryk Anders vs. Antonio Arroyo was pulled earlier on Saturday after Anders missed weight. The event will press forward with nine fights.
