Luke Rockhold Not Training At AKA For Next Fight

Former UFC Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold returns for the first time since losing the title to Michael Bisping for a main event fight with David Branch at UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh.

The middleweight contender is making a big change heading into this September’s fight, because he is training with Henri Hooft instead of his longtime camp in American Kickboxing Academy (AKA).

Rockhold made the announcement himself through Instagram:

 

 

American Kickboxing Academy will always be my home. Due to the injuries and inactivity to our key guys. My team and I have decided it best I prepare for this fight in Florida. All the usual suspects will be in my corner with the addition of @henrihooft . I'd like to thank Henri, Kami Barzini, Greg Jones and all my teammates here in Florida for helping me prepare for this fight. September 16th we ride.

Even though he is training with Henri Hooft for his September bout, it is unknown just how many future bouts he will go with Hooft instead of his longtime camp in AKA.

UFC Fight Night Pittsburgh takes place on Saturday, September 16 from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania with Luke Rockhold and David Branch headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
