Main Event Announced For Inaugural LFA Event

The merger of the Resurrection Fighting Alliance and the Legacy Fighting Championships will commence on January 13 with Legacy Fighting Alliance 1, which will be headlined by a fight to determine the promotions first bantamweight champion as LFC Bantamweight Champion Steven Peterson faces RFA Bantamweight Champion Leandro Higo.

Peterson (14-4-0) won the LFC Bantamweight Title when he defeated Manny Vasquez by fourth round submission at Legacy FC 56. Peterson will enter the bout riding a five fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in well over three years. Peterson is also a former Xtreme Knockouts Bantamweight Champion, he defeated Nelson Salas by TKO to win that belt.

Higo (16-2-0) won the RFA Bantamweight Title when he defeated Terrion Ware by third round submission at RFA 29. Higo has already defended the championship twice, defeating both Melvin Blumer and Joey Miolla as well. Higo will come into the fight riding a seven fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in over four years.

Legacy Fighting Alliance 1 takes place on Friday, January 13 from The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas with Steven Peterson and Leandro Higo headlining, the main card will air live on AXS TV.
