Kevin Holland will get a chance to redeem himself against the rising Marvin Vettori.
It was reported by ESPN and MMA Fighting that Holland will face off against Vettori at UFC Vegas 23 on April 10. He will be replacing Darren Till, who had to back out of the fight due to a broken collarbone. It was Holland who offered to replace Till several times when it was announced he couldn't fight. Holland would go on social media to talk about the quick turnaround bout.
It was back on March 20 that Holland fought against Derek Brunson. On a five-fight win streak following a huge 2020, Holland lost via unanimous decision. It was a one-sided affair that had Holland trying to talk to Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was sitting next to Dana White.
Known for being on Dana White's Contender Series, Holland is currently ranked tenth in the UFC's middleweight rankings.
Ranked sixth in the division, Vettori is on a four-fight win streak. After losing to Israel Adesanya in 2018, Vettori has beaten the likes of Karl Roberson and Jack Hermansson. The latter fight was in December, which Vettori won via unanimous decision.
UFC Vegas 23 will be the second UFC card to take place on ABC programming. It will take place from inside the UFC's APEX Center.
