Max Holloway Signs New UFC Deal

UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway is in the midst of preparations for a title defense against former UFC Lightweight Champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 218.

The fighter had been wanting a new contract prior to his first title defense and it would appear that the new contract has been signed.

“Negotiations went well with the UFC and we were always confident that they were going to take care of us,” the UFC Featherweight Champion’s manager Brian Butler said in a statement to MMA Weekly. “The timing of it all had more to do with logistics on their end, and just trying to get the time to sit down together and get it all done. Max is very happy and excited to get back in the Octagon and defend his belt on December 2 at UFC 218.”

Holloway become the undisputed UFC Featherweight Champion at UFC 212 when he defeated Jose Aldo by TKO.
