Michael Bisping will defend his middleweight title for the first time this weekend at UFC 204 as he faces Dan Henderson, but there's a former champion that Bisping also has his eyes set on and that former champion is Georges St. Pierre.
Bisping talked all things GSP with Champions.co, and said that he's open to fighting GSP by the end of the year.
"If GSP wants it in Toronto in December, I'm good, GSP keeps talking, you know, time to do some walking pal. He called me out, so I'll happily knockout Dan Henderson, have a beer with a few of you guys, and then get straight back in the gym” said Bisping.
Bipsing, while willing to fight GSP, believes that the former champions financial requests are holding him back from a UFC return.
"I've never turned down a fight in my life, and if GSP wants to do it then just call Dana [White]. I know he's said that he wants ten million dollars, so he's pricing himself up, but don't on one hand say, 'I want to fight Bisping,' and then price yourself out of the market because which is it? Do you want to fight me or don't you want to fight me?” said Bisping.
The middleweight champion said that he's open to any challenge, whether he likes someone or not.
"I like GSP," Bisping said. "I got nothing against GSP, the guy is a professional, good guy, nice guy. I know his coaches, good dudes, but if he wants to fight, I've never backed down from an opponent in my life, and be sure as hell that it won't start with a welterweight that's been retired for three years."
UFC 204 takes place on October 8th from the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England with Michael Bisping and Dan Henderson headlining.
