Chandler, the former Bellator Lightweight Champion, took to social media to attempt to plan a 2022 bout against the "Notorious" one.

Recently going to war against Justin Gaethje at UFC 268 in New York City, Chandler would lose via unanimous decision. The fight featured non-stop action, with Chandler and Gaethje landing big blows to the other. Both would end up in the hospital after, but they did receive the Fight of the Night bonus.

McGregor would end up responding to Chandler's tweet, stating, "I’m down at some stage for sure. Great fight the other night Mike, congrats!"

The former UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Champion is 1-3 in his last four fights since returning to action. McGregor recently lost two in a row to Dustin Poirier. The second loss was via TKO after he broke his tibia. He is currently recovering following surgery and is hoping to be back in 2022.
