Michael Chandler Predicts White House Bout Announcement With Conor McGregor May ‘One Day Just Pop Up Out Of Nowhere’

Michael Chandler gives a fresh update on a possible bout with Conor McGregor at the White House later this year.

Later this year, Chandler and McGregor are expected to fight at the UFC’s planned event at the White House, but the bout has yet to be officially announced after their previous planned bout fell through due to an injury suffered by McGregor. Now, Chandler has given a fresh update on the bout.

While speaking to The Schmo in a new interview, Michael Chandler spoke about the expected bout, confirming that talks are happening.

“There’s going to be a bunch of smoke and mirrors. There’s going to be a bunch of kind of vague terms being thrown around. But it’s me. It’s Conor. It’s at the White House. Me and him, that’s it. There’s no other fight to make. So that’s what I’m planning for, and I’m expecting to get the call. I mean, we’ve already had some talks. Talks are happening as we speak, and we’re moving in that direction.”

Chandler continued noting that the fight announcement may one day just ‘pop up’ out of of nowehre.

“I mean, there’s obviously been public conversations via interviews all over the world that he’s doing, that I’m doing, that the UFC is doing, that Dana’s doing, Hunter Campbell. So as of right now, talks are happening. We’re moving in that direction, but it is the biggest fight to ever happen ever in combat sports. So it’s going to take a little bit longer and it may one day just pop up out of nowhere. So obviously, like Dana said, it’s going to be announced somewhere around February. So everybody stay tuned. But expect Conor versus Chandler at the White House.”
