A light heavyweight division encounter is the latest addition to the UFC 223 card as Mike Rodriguez is going to be in action against Devin Clark.
Rodriguez (9-2-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and will do so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Rodriguez competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 5, defeating Jamelle Jones by first round knockout. Rodriguez has seen just one of his professional MMA fights go the distance and that came against Pat McCrohan at CES MMA 32 in January 2016.
Clark (8-2-0) has won two of four fights under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over the duo of Josh Stansbury and Jake Collier. Clark also competed a total of four times in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, winning every bout he competed at in the promotion. Clark earned both of his UFC victories by way of decision, but suffered the two losses in the UFC by knockout and submission.
UFC 223 takes place on Saturday, April 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
