Shane Cripps was preparing for the inaugural Throwdown In T-Town event in just a few short days, but that is sadly no longer the case.

Cripps, his son Dylan, friend Conor Sykes and Syke’s son Liam were all killed in a canoeing accident on May 22 in Manitoba, Ontario, Canada.

According to an article from The Winnipeg Free Press, all four bodies were found by a rescue crew and a cause of death isn’t known at this point.

A Facebook post by other Throwdown In T-Town official state that the inaugural event will still go on, but it has been postponed until October.

When the inaugural event does take place, it is going to be headlined by the crowning of a heavyweight champion as Jared Henderson and Rick Genaille.
