NAC Rep Calls UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns Successful

The UFC ran their fifth card during the coronavirus pandemic this past Saturday Night in the form of UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns.

This was the first of those events that were run in the state of Nevada and a representative of the Nevada Athletic Commission (NAC) called the show extremely successful.

“The 5/30 UFC event was held in accordance with NSAC protocols and the UFC’s Operational Plan which was approved by the NSAC. The event was extremely successful. The UFC went to great lengths and expenses to ensure all personnel were in compliance with COVID-19 precautionary measures and were in compliance with all regulatory and governmental requirements for a closed system event,” a NAC rep told Bloody Elbow.

UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns is the first of what is expected to be a multitude of events run at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, with the upcoming UFC 250 card being the next one of those events. 

Other UFC cards are expected to be held at “Fight Island,” but a debut date and location for “Fight Island” haven’t been officially revealed at this time.
