Former UFC title challenger and beloved star, Nate Diaz has officially entered free agency.
Journalist Ariel Helwani was the first to report the news via a series of tweets on Tuesday, after confirming it with Diaz's representative Zach Rosenfield, who provided the following statement on the 37-year-old Stockton, California native's fighting future.
"This does not shut the door on Diaz continuing to stay in the UFC. With the pending return of Conor McGregor, that fight still remains extremely appealing to both fans, the promotion, as well as Diaz and McGregor. But what is now clear is that the long-awaited Nathan Diaz free agent sweepstakes have officially begun."
