The Nevada State Athletic Commission is examining two Top Rank Boxing shows that could happen next month.

The commission will meet for the first time in months on May 27 at 9 a.m. PT/noon ET to take a look at potential combat sports events taking place in early June. Among the shows that are being looked at are Top Rank Boxing shows that would air on ESPN platforms on June 9 and 11 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

These shows would be subject to approval based on whether or not the commission approves COVID-19 protocols, which would include running events without a live audience.

Below is what the commission wrote on its agenda for the meeting regarding Top Rank.

"Pending removal or modification of restrictions created by Declaration of Emergency Directives, request by Top Rank, Inc. for a program permit to promote a professional boxing event, to be held on June 9, 2020 at MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, NV, to be televised on ESPN/ESPN+, for possible action."

No fights are set in stone for either of those shows, but a number of names have been rumored to be on those cards such as WBO featherweight champion Shakur Stevenson and former super bantamweight champion Jessie Magdaleno. Other fighters promoted by Top Rank, such as WBA "Regular" super flyweight champion Andrew Moloney and brother Jason Moloney, are in Las Vegas and are planned to fight on these upcoming shows, but there's no set date on when their in-ring return would be.

The June 9 show would be the first boxing card promoted by Top Rank since the Deontay Wilder vs. Tyson Fury 2 pay-per-view that Top Rank co-promoted back on February 22.
