No Other Boxer vs. MMA Fighter Bouts On McGregor vs. Mayweather Card

If you are looking to see additional boxer versus MMA fighter bouts on the Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather under card, you are going to be disappointed.

This comes from the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, Leonard Ellerbe.

“Yes, we are (handling all the matchmaking), and we are going to have a phenomenal undercard. I can guarantee you that,” Ellerbe said on The MMA Hour. “This will be 100% pure boxers in the show.”

There have been many rumored or suggested boxer versus MMA fighter bouts over the years, including Anderson Silva vs. Roy Jones, Stipe Miocic vs. Anthony Joshua and a host of others.

Other than the main event bout between the UFC Lightweight champion in Conor McGregor and the legendary Floyd Mayweather, no other bouts have been announced for the card.

It also should be noted that it’s going to be Mayweather Promotions handling the fight bookings and promotion for the card, as the UFC and any other MMA entity will have little to no say in anything with those matters.

Conor McGregor versus Floyd Mayweather takes place on Saturday, August 26 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
